SPRING IS IN THE AIR AT TR!CKSTER

It's official! My work will be up at Trickster as part of the "Spring is in the air" gallery show that starts this Saturday. They've only shown a little sneak peek of my art online, but those of you that know me get to see the full piece early. The reception is Saturday at 6pm. Hope to see you there!

NEW FIGURE STUDIES GOING UP IN THE PORTFOLIO

I'm still keeping a few of the old ones in because I was told they were particularly nice, but I also scanned a lot of new ones and tried to keep the figure studies down to one page. I did the same with the environmental studies page. Even though I have a lot more work I'd love to show in the studies area, I realized they might be a little excessive at the end of the portfolio. Besides, that's what my blog's for. I also want to mention that some of these will be appearing in a booklet of my sketch work that I'll put up for sale once I get a chance to compile it. I'm shooting for somewhere around the beginning of the summer, hopefully. So keep an eye out if you're interested!

2013 SELF PORTRAIT

I recently scrawled a little challenge self portrait of myself at SketchBomb SF. I liked it so much I decided to add some color in photoshop. Enjoy!

PORTFOLIO SEASON

I've finally had a chance this last weekend to start assembling art for my portfolio revision. Most of the deadlines will be early to late April, so it's time to start getting things finalized, printed, and ready to send out.

APE CREW

I recently started a new Facebook group for A.P.E. (the Alternative Press Expo) in San Francisco. The event will run from October 12-13, but I'm starting the group now to get early information out to people planning to exhibit at San Francisco's last great comics and art convention. This will be my second attempt at selling my art and getting my work out there. So wish me luck, and also don't hesitate to join the group if you're planning on exhibiting. The group will have a lot of information, and act as an open forum for people to ask questions of veteran A.P.E. exhibitors to get helpful feedback.

ACTUAL OBSERVATIONS: BART DRAWING GONE WRONG, OR DID IT?

Ever have someone that clearly didn't care for your drawing them? I did, and I kept drawing anyway.
