KILLING MY LOBSTER CONQUERS THE GALAXY

Recently I worked on a poster for the good folks over at Killing My Lobster. This was my first full illustration in a while, and I decided to try and start blending all the ways I love to work in one piece. Traditional with Digital. Painterly with with Cell shaded. Etc. There are a couple things I'll have to do differently in the future, but I'm still enjoying the finished product, and it was refreshing to do some illustration work to break up the visual development, story boarding, and study work I've been doing lately.
Interested in Killing My Lobster more than my artwork? Want to know what this crazy poster is all about? Killing My Lobster is a San Francisco sketch comedy troupe and the poster is for their Sci-Fi show coming up September 22 - October 9 and if you've never been to one of their shows, then you should make it a point to go to this one. Especially if you need a good laugh. Can't wait that long to have a good time you say? I'm tired of blogs and I need to meet people and have a good time NOW you say? Well then make it out to their "Enchantment Under the Sea" Prom/Fundraiser this week (August 5). You can even bid on one of their cast members for the night if you need a date. What are you waiting for? Click on one of the links above and become a fan of of these crustaceans.

DIGITAL ENVIRONMENTS

I've been working on some environmental practice in photoshop to keep up the digital work. Enjoy!

CLASSIC AUTOMOTIVE WORKS OF ART AND A DUCATI

On Thursday I went to the Blackhawk auto museum and Hot Summer nights to draw and gawk at some amazing motor vehicles. I wish I had the time to draw every single vehicle at both, but here are some of my favorites for now. I hope to make it back out to both before the summer is over. The Ducati I drew because it was near a convenient seating location.

CELL SHADED CHARACTERS

I've done a few cell shaded characters lately, and for my illustration work I want to start blending this type of work with more painterly backdrops, and foregrounds. Here are a few that have made it to random places on the internet already, but haven't had a proper appearance here. Enjoy!
